A tree identification app that teaches you
Treely names the tree in front of you, then teaches you to know it yourself: the trees of Britain and Ireland by leaf, bark, buds, flowers and fruit, in every season, from real photographs.

What’s in it
Treely starts you on a handful of trees and adds more as you know them. A short round each day, from real photographs, brings each tree back from a different side until you know it on sight.
Leaves, bark, buds, flowers, fruit and the shape of the tree, photographed through the year, so you can name a tree in January as surely as in June.
The trees people mix up, compared part by part, with the one check that settles it.
Fill the frame with one leaf, the bark or a flower and Treely names the tree, then shows you how to know it next time. A few goes are free; the unlock is for everyday use.
One simple question at a time about what you can see. It runs on your phone, so it works in a wood with no signal.
Three things to find on the trees each week, and a collection of every one you photograph.

Questions
Is Treely free?
Treely is free to download, with a few trees to learn and a few goes with the camera before you decide. One purchase unlocks every tree, every lesson, the full Guide and the camera for everyday use.
Does it work without signal?
Yes. The photographs, the Guide, the lessons and the guided key are on your phone. Naming a tree from a photo needs a connection.
Is there an account?
No. There are no accounts, and your progress is kept on your phone.
Which phones?
iPhone and Android.
How is it different from a photo-ID app?
A photo-ID app tells you the name of the plant in front of you. Treely does that too, but it’s built to teach you, so that next time you know the tree yourself, from any side and in any season.
