Treely
Privacy policy

Your trees stay on your phone.

Last updated 1 October 2026

Treely is made by Leon Cross. This policy explains what the app does with your information. It is short because the app does very little with it.

We do not ask who you are

There is no account, no sign-in and no email address. We do not know who you are and we have no way to find out.

What stays on your device

Everything you do in the app stays on your phone: the trees you are learning, how well you know them, what you have found and the trees you have saved. None of it is sent to us. Deleting the app deletes all of it, permanently. We cannot restore it, because we never had a copy.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, it sends a crash report to Sentry, a crash-reporting service, so the fault can be found and fixed. A report carries the error, the app version, the iOS version and the device model. It does not carry your IP address, a device identifier or anything you have done in the app, and it cannot be linked to you. Sentry stores it in the EU.

Tree photographs and content you receive

The app downloads tree photographs and guide content from our server. Like any web server, it records ordinary request information including your IP address, so that the service can be run and abuse prevented. These logs are not linked to anything about you and are not used to build a profile.

Payment

Treely is a paid download from the App Store. Apple handles the payment entirely. We never see your card details, your name or your address.

What we do not do

We do not show adverts. We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not sell or share your information with anyone, and there is no analytics or advertising software in the app.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and does not collect personal information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the current version is always at this address.
